See you tonight for Overflow Worship & Prayer at 6pm

⚡️WHAT TO EXPECT AT CY⚡️

Central Youth kicks off each week with 30 minutes of hang time, including a café, games lounge, 9-square, gaga, group games, and space to connect.

At 7pm, we worship with a student-led band, hear a short, challenging sermon, discuss the Word & life together in "huddles," and give generously to Kingdom Builders, all before dismissal at 8:30pm.
⚡️INFORMATION:
  • Central Youth meets (almost) every Wednesday at The Rock Student Center (2203 W Pike St, Houston, PA 15342)
  • Doors open for check-in at 6:30pm, and service begins at 7:00pm.
  • Check-out and pick-up begin at 8:30pm.
    • Note: After your teenager is checked in, we do not let them leave the premises until they are checked out. When they check out, they are no longer considered under our care. This policy includes self-drivers.

  • Students are encouraged to bring a Bible and notebook with them; however, this is not required.
  • We consider CY a "Lab" -  a place where students can practice faith, serving, leadership, and growth. We experiment, try new ideas, and train students for ministry no matter what their calling is! They can apply to serve on the following teams: Worship, Production, Cafe, Culture
  • Students have the opportunity to give tithe/offering each Wednesday. On the first Wednesday of each month all funds are given to Speed The Light.
  • A limited Café menu includes $1 - $4 items. We also sell Central Youth branded merch ranging from $1 - $35.
  • Students are asked to not use cellphones during the service portion of the night (approx. 7pm-8:30pm).

⚡️DROP-OFF & PICK_UP PROCEDURES:
Our parking lot calls for specific traffic patterns to be followed during both Drop-off and Pick-up.
  • All vehicles must enter through the marked entrance, heed direction of attendants, and leave through the marked exit according to the posted signs and painted arrows.
  • Dismissal begins at 8:30 PM. Pick-up lanes will open at 8:20PM. We cannot allow any cars into the parking lot before that time.
  • We do not have available parking spaces for waiting in our lot. If you arrive early, you may wait at Central Assembly of God (155 McGovern Rd) across the street.
  • Handicapped parking is available to the right of our front doors. Please let our parking team know if you need accessibility accommodations.
  • Student drivers have been issued parking passes. These allow them to bypass the drop-off line and park in our lot. They will exit with the flow of traffic and may experience a wait.
  • Because of the volume of cars, it is very important that you follow the direction of our parking attendants, as well as all signs and cones. These are volunteers serving your students, and they are doing their best to keep everyone safe.

⚡️STAFF AND SAFETY:
  • All adult staff and volunteers have passed all Child Safety clearances and trainings. They will never be alone with one student. Each of these adults can be identified by their lanyard badge.
  • All adult staff and volunteers are Mandated Reporters under Pennsylvania State Law. If there is suspected abuse or self-harm, or if a student shares information with them about abuse or self-harm, it is required that they report to the proper authorities for the safety of the teenager. From there, Pastor Korinne will connect with parents.
  • No unscheduled adults are welcome at Central Youth, unless they were invited by Pastor Korinne or have requested a guided tour. A visitor lanyard will be issued for that one-time visit, and they will never be alone with any student(s).
  • If a student is struggling behaviorally, his/her Huddle Leader (Leader assigned to their discipleship group, divided by gender and grade) will have a conversation with them. If the struggle continues, Pastor Korinne will have a conversation with them. If still no change is made, parents will be contacted, and a plan worked out for the best interest of the student and the group as a whole.
